As the digital information specialist at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) of the National Institutesof Health (NIH), Fedora works with UX designers and information architects to develop cancer.gov and cancer.gov/español. She is passionate about making NCI websites usable, enjoyable, and useful for its users.
Fedora is also the co-manager of the Multilingual Community that works together to solve common issues on communication in languages other than English.
Prior to working for NCI, she worked and developed MedlinePlus, the website for consumer health information from the National Library of Medicine (NLM). She was the lead of the MedlinePlus en español, the NIH MedlinePlus magazine, and the NIH MedlinePlus revista teams where her main goal was to present high quality health information to consumers in both English and Spanish.
